GPU, RAM and SSD upgrades, installed at home
A new SSD, more memory, or a better graphics card can make an older computer feel new for far less than a replacement. The catch is compatibility: power supply, case space, motherboard slots, and drivers.
We check all of that first, tell you which upgrade gives the biggest real improvement for your money, then install it at your desk and move your system over if needed.
What’s included
- Compatibility check before you buy
- Installation and cable management
- Moving Windows to a new SSD (cloning)
- Drivers, BIOS settings, and a stability test
Worth asking about if
- Your PC still runs on a hard drive instead of an SSD
- You run out of memory with lots of browser tabs or apps
- New games stutter on your current graphics card
- You’ve bought a part and want it installed properly
How it works
Describe the problem
Call or send the form with what the computer is doing and roughly when it started. A photo of any error message helps.
We diagnose on-site
We come to you and find the actual cause before anything is replaced, then explain it in plain English.
You approve the fix
You get the price of any part and the labor up front. If it isn’t worth fixing, we say so.
No work starts until you approve the price
Fixed, tested, explained
We test it in front of you and show you what changed. Same-day remote support afterwards if anything comes back.
Upgrades: common questions
How much does an upgrade install cost?
Installation starts at $30 per hour. Most single-part upgrades are quick; moving Windows to a new SSD takes longer depending on how much data you have.
Will a new graphics card fit my PC?
Send us your computer’s model or a photo inside the case and we’ll check card length, power supply, and connectors before you buy.
Should I upgrade or buy a new computer?
It depends on the age of the processor and motherboard. Our upgrade-or-replace guide walks through it, and we’ll give you a straight answer during the quote.
